The RowingMart site has been constructed to make it easier for the rowing community to buy and sell goods and services related to rowing. The founders have a long experience in the sport and know how frustrating it can be to find or sell specialist items or boats which are often individual and specifically bought for one crew or person. We hope there will be a high number of Wanted ads
The site is designed to be easy to use and should be intuitive.
The site will be free to place ads for an introductory phase. It is hoped that this will encourage users to register and create new ads. In the medium term the plan is to use a pricing structure that will be attractive to advertisers. Any money raised from the site in the foreseeable future will be given to the Maidenhead Rowing Club Boat Fund.
Payment requests for adverts in the future will be by PayPal which is easy to use and takes just a few minutes to register if you have not already got an account. Paypal accounts are linked to a credit card or bank account. It is a safe and secure service
We hope you enjoy using the site. We will be monitoring the site for any bad language and rogue advertisements. If we find these we will remove the users.

Remember to be wary of requests particularly from another country involving cheque payments. Paypal is an alternative and there are several other alternatives such as bankers draft. A cheque as we understand the position only shows that money is available at the point of request for funds and even money where cheques have been “cleared” can be reclaimed from some banks abroad. The authors of this site are not financial experts and we would suggest professional advice from your bank if you are in any doubt.
